Hi , Im Dawn,

I live in France and am enjoying teaching English in the Home Stay environment with great pupils. I am a highly experienced and qualified teacher, I qualified as a Primary School teacher in 1987. I received a 2.1 honours degree from Leeds University in Primary Education, British Teaching Certificate, certificate in TEFL and an ASE in Primary Science Education. I have taught ages from 4 to 35, British and French students. I taught in a Special School for 4 years with children with specific learning difficulties, Autism, ADHD and Dyslexia. I was a Special Educational Needs Coordinator for 30 years and have also been an acting Deputy Head Teacher. I am the mother of 2 children and grandmother of one adorable grandson, all whom live in the UK. I was also the teacher responsible for Pupils with English as an Additional;Language. I moved to France in 2017 as I have always adored the country, its people and its culture. My passion for animals has always driven me to want to have a small farm which I have now achieved and I keep 15 sheep for lamb and wool. I also have a dog and 4 cats. Life here is never dull there is always something to do both indoors and out. My love of teaching has never left me and I thrive on helping others to learn and improve with their skills and knowledge in many areas. My typical week consists of tending to the animal's needs and the farm. I spend time gardening, reading, swimming, meeting friends, horse riding, walking my dog, working with my wool and renovating my beautiful old house. I love to bake English breads and cakes. I am also an avid star gazer and owl watcher. being part of the farming community,

Although I have many years of experience, I am very young in heart and spiirit, I love to laugh and be busy. Children have been my inspiration and I love their zest for life , energy, enquiring minds and their search for knowledge. Its great to be part of their journey even though it may not be for very long, memories of good times help to make us the adults of the future and share our languages, cultures and philosophies.
